Downloading an Account Backup
It is essential that you regularly make and retain your own local backups of your virtual environment.
GCom Internet makes daily, weekly and monthly backups of all servers, but these are primarily held for our own internal server management purposes. The ultimate responsibility for backing up your virtual environment, and retaining those backups, always rests ultimately with you as the account owner.
However, having stated the above for clarity, we do make file-based backup archives available for download at any time via your cPanel for your own local and extended retention.
To Download an Account Backup
- Log in to cPanel.
- Find and click on the "Backup" icon.
- Find the section headed "Account Backups".
- Select the desired account backup date from the dropdown list.
- Click on the "Download" button.
