Email Storage Limits |
Last modified: Friday, March 16, 2007
GCom dialup and ISDN internet access clients are provided with up to 3 full email addresses.
Each email account has a maximum limit of 10 MB for received and sent emails stored on our servers. It is a standard requirement of our service that all GCom mailboxes are emptied once per connection session.
If a client allows their email account storage to exceed the provided limit, we reserve the right to trim back the contents of the mailbox.
The 10MB disk storage limit applies to the total of all email in the client's inbox and any folders created within their GCom webmail area.
It is important to realise that the GCom webmail interface is provided for temporary email handling only. It is primarily intended for use in situations where the client needs to access their email remotely. GCom webmail should not be used as the primary method of email handling. All clients are expected to retrieve and delete their email from our servers on a regular basis.
GCom Internet regularly monitors mailbox disk usage, and in rare cases where the client has exceeded the data storage limit by an extreme degree, the entire contents of the mailbox will be removed from our online grid. In this event, the data will be held offline for 7 days and then deleted. During the period of offline retention, the client may request the data to be returned to their mailbox. The client would then be expected to retrieve the data as a matter of urgency.
