Logging in to Webmail as the System User Email Account via cPanel

Within each cPanel account, a reserved System User Email Account is created in the name of your cPanel user name

The System User Email Account is used by cPanel to store special notifications such as bounce messages for undeliverable email items generated by on-server applications, and other sundry items. It is important that you regularly check these items and delete them from your server after dealing with them.

You should never use this reserved email account for sending email.

You should never create any other email address based on the cPanel user name of your account.

You can configure your local email client to collect these items by POP3 or IMAP, or you can manage them completely via your webmail.

To log in to Webmail as the System User Email Account via cPanel

  1. Log in to cPanel.
  2. Find and click on the "Email Accounts" icon.
  3. Locate the admin user name email account.
  4. Click on the respective "Check Email" button.

Important

For reasons of basic security, the reserved admin email address of cPanel should never be used for sending general email items. Doing so, unnecessarily exposes your cPanel user name to the general public. The address should be reserved solely for cPanel administrative purposes.
